SAUNA BEST PRACTICE
A few things to keep in mind while using the sauna:
Do’s and don’ts
Stay hydrated
Drink water before and after your session.
Wear a towel or bathing suit
keep things modest and comfortable.
Listen to your body
Exit the sauna immediately if you feel dizzy, lightheaded, or unwell.
Shower before entering
keep the sauna clean and sweat-free.
Set a time limit
10–15 minutes is usually enough; longer sessions can lead to overheating.
Use a timer
to avoid overstaying or accidentally falling asleep.
Don’t drink alcohol
It increases dehydration and the risk of overheating.
Don’t touch the stove or heater
It’s extremely hot and can cause burns.
Don’t go nude
Always wear appropriate attire (e.g., towel or swimwear).
Don’t use the sauna if you’re feeling unwell
High heat can worsen symptoms.
Don’t wear jewelry
Metal can heat up and burn your skin.
Don’t bring electronics inside
They can be damaged by heat and humidity.
